Goya - En la Quinta del Sordo (In the House of the Deaf Man). Gallaudet Theatre Arts Department. Francisco de Goya became profoundly deaf mid-career as an artist. Goya created provocative work after becoming deaf. It explores insights into Goya’s dark humor, his mockery of the social mores, and superstitions of his time in according to his identity as a deaf man. Written and directed by Willy Conley and Iosif Schneiderman.
