Memories of Old Hartford. As told by Dr. John B. Hotchkiss (a former faculty member of Gallaudet). Tells of the time when Laurent Clerc came with Gallaudet to help teach reading and writing. The importance of educating the deaf people. "Live to eat, and eat to live," to live for the better things. Dr. Hotchkiss shared the story when Laurent Clerc met a little boy who eventually made a statue in honor of him. Tells of another story that Mr. Bartlett told him about Jesus' death and resurrection.
